This Week Passed By So Fast!

Olá,

This week went by fast.  It was a pretty busy week with not much to show for the work, but we have lots of faith that the Lord will bless us with success if we continue working hard.

One scripture that I have thought about a lot lately is in Heleman 13: 26-27.

It talks about how the people reject the true prophets of God, but when someone comes by saying that they are a prophet of God (teaching them that they are certain in their sins),  they lift him up as a true prophet.

It is something that we see a lot in the mission field.  Not that we are prophets necessarily, but we are trying to bring the true gospel of Christ to everyone.  But most of the time, other pastors or leaders of other churches have already spoken bad about us.  So they neglect the truth we are bringing to follow their self-proclaimed prophet.

It also reminds me of the verse in 1st or 2nd Nephi that says that the truth is painful for those living in sin.

How grateful I am that we have a living Prophet that we can trust and learn from to guide us and help us to return to His presence.

I hope you all have a great week!

Elder Nielson

P.S.  We took these pictures last P-day of the Catholic church here in the center of Paulista.  I think it's pretty cool.

P.S.S. Oh yeah, and next week I will hit 1 year on my mission. What did you and Riley do to celebrate your one year anniversary?  Give me some ideas I can use.
